SNACKS AND NUTRITION (suggestions only!)
At PCI, we believe that taking care of your health is paramount to being a great performer! We encourage you to make healthy food choices, eating lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and protein and we suggest performers refrain from eating sugary snacks before or during class. This is for a few reasons 1) After you eat sugar, the body gets alot of quick energy and it can be hard to focus. This isn't ideal for class! Its best to feel centered and relaxed 2) After the quick energy comes a big crash :-( What if its during your solo????? 3) Sugar can contribute to phlegm and mucous so we as singers try not to eat too much before we perform. This goes for processed junk foods as well. Do your best to take care of your body so it can take care of you!
